How often should I get a remedial massage?
The frequency of your sessions is tailored to your individual condition and goals. If you're dealing with acute injuries or chronic pain, weekly or bi-weekly sessions are often recommended. For general maintenance or relaxation, monthly or bi-monthly sessions may be sufficient. After assessing your needs, your therapist will provide personalized on the best schedule for you.
What if I'm pregnant?
Pregnancy massage is available. Please let us know how far along you are when booking so we can provide a safe and tailored experience. Your comfort and well-being are our top priorities.
Do I need a referral for remedial massage?
No referral is needed. You can book directly through our online system. If you have an injury or medical condition, discussing it with your therapist beforehand ensures your session is tailored safely.
Can I book an appointment online?
Yes! You can easily book your appointment online through our booking system. Just select your preferred duration, and time, and we’ll confirm your booking via email and SMS.
What if I have a specific injury or health concern?
If you have a specific injury or health concern, contact us before your session. We’ll discuss your symptoms and ensure massage techniques are appropriate. A personalized treatment plan may also be recommended, and we can coordinate with other healthcare providers if necessary.
Can I combine remedial massage with other treatments like physiotherapy or chiropractic care?
Yes! Remedial massage works well alongside other treatments like physiotherapy, chiropractic care, or acupuncture. If you’re receiving multiple treatments, be sure to discuss your care plan with your therapist to ensure the best approach for your recovery.
Before & After your Appointment
What should I expect during my first visit?
Your session begins with a consultation to understand your needs, followed by a personalized massage tailored for you. Please inform your therapist of any specific pain or discomfort to ensure the best experience.
What should I wear to my appointment?
For assessment purposes, comfortable clothing that allows movement may be helpful.
During treatment, clients will be asked to undress to their level of comfort; however, appropriate underwear must be worn at all times. Telia Mills - Remedial Massage maintains strict professional draping standards to ensure privacy, dignity, and comfort. Only the area being treated will be exposed at any time.
What happens if I feel sore after the massage?
Mild soreness after treatment is normal, especially if you’ve had muscle tension or injury. This indicates your muscles are responding to therapy. Drink plenty of water, rest, and move gently. If soreness lasts more than 2 days or becomes painful, contact us for advice.
Payment & Policies
Do you accept health fund rebates?
Yes! We are registered with major health funds. Please check with your health fund to make sure you're covered.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and online payments, such as bank transfer. There is HICAPS on-site to make health fund/insurance claiming easy.
Cancellation & Policies
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may incur a fee.
If you are unable to attend but can arrange for someone else to take your appointment, the cancellation fee will be waived. Please notify us in advance to make the necessary arrangements.
Can I book a same-day appointment?
Yes, if availability allows. Check our online booking system for real-time openings.
What if I arrive late to my appointment?
Late arrivals may result in a shortened session to accommodate the next client.
